Aarti Tallam
Ph.D. Student
I am from India and have a strong background in chemical engineering, with a particular focus on sustainable practices and process design. After earning my undergraduate degree and specializing in Plant Design at Osmania University, I gained research experience at the CSIR-Indian Institute of Chemical Technology (IICT). There, I contributed to projects, including purifying methanol to electronic grade for ISRO, synthesizing porous composite membranes for biogas purification, and developing cost-effective facemasks during the COVID-19 pandemic.
Currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering at NC State University, I am committed to driving sustainable practices and process optimization. To achieve these goals, I focus on process intensification technologies through microreaction engineering and smart manufacturing principles. I believe that my commitment to continuous learning and collaboration will allow me to contribute meaningfully to the field and mentor future engineers in sustainable practices.
